- Growing Attendance
The average school attendance was 88% and 89.1% at Child First community schools in the 2018-19 and 2019-2020 school year, respectively.
- Engaged Community
During the school year 2019-2020, parents and caregivers invested 15,938 volunteer hours during the school day and after school by assisting in the classroom during and after school, chaperoning field trips, attending parent workshops, serving meals, and performing administrative tasks.
Stronger Test Scores
Calvin Rodwell students demonstrated at least 10 percentage point increase in math proficiency on the PARCC exam from SY16-17 to SY17-18 and a combined increase in the PARCC ELA and math of at least 20 percentage points from SY 16-17 to SY17-18.
Liberty Elementary and Guilford Elementary/Middle School 3rd-5th grade students, of which 80-100% are economically disadvantaged, scored above the city average on the ELA and Math PARCC exams.

Dr. Bernard Harris Elementary Summer Program Reading Assessment (K-5):
- Average Daily Attendance (ADA) = 18
- The Dolch Site Word Assessment was administered to students
- 20/21 students completed both pre and post tests
- 20/21 students showed improvement in scores (95%)
Eutaw Marshburn Virtual Summer Program
- Average Daily Attendance (ADA) = 30
- ELA/Math Assessment (Grades K – 1)
- 12/14 students took both pre and post tests
- 11/12 students showed improvement in scores (92%)
